Implementing GTD Methodology using Task Tiger

The GTD methodology can be represented by the following steps

Collect stuff

When an idea bubbles up in your brain Note it in your tasktiger. press LWin+SPACE in the popup window file away your notes. If it is not actionable put down the context as notes, ref (reference) or log.

Categorize

If the task is actionable then

  1. Determine the required outcome and note it in the comments section.
  2. Determine its due date.
  3. Determine the owner for the task it is either you or someone else in your team
  4. If it is a part of an ongoing project select that project or enter the name of the new project

Review

Periodically review your task lists.

  • Mark Completed tasks as done.
  • Reassign tasks if required.
  • Realign the due date of the task.
  • Tasks assigned to others are your waiting for tasks followup on them.
  • Perform the tasks that are due now.
  • Task Tiger supports a great set of filters that you can use to narrow down on the required tasks.

Task tiger includes a timeline recorder which can be used to analyze your days workflow and determine whether you need to adjust your work pattern to better meet your goals
