What is an Internship.
An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to the field of ASIC and FPGA design for student’s interested in making a career in this field.
For a student it gives an opportunity to explore the field. For the organisation it gives an early access to potential future employees.
An Internship is not another “school” with regular classroom session’s.
What to expect from an Internship @ Dyumnin Semiconductors.
Internship @ Dyumnin is split into two parts:
Assisted Learning(Unpaid) and Executing(Paid).
Assisted Learning.
- This part is totally student driven.
- Mentor will assign regular tasks designed to assist the student in developing the required skills in Verification, Design, Timing closure.
- Expect to do a lot of reading in this period.
- This phase shall be for a minimum of 15 days and shall not exceed 2-3 months.
Transitioning to Execution phase.
- Transition to execution phase will depend on the ability, attitude and aptitude shown by the candidate during the learning phase.
- If it is decided not to transition a candidate to the execution phase, the internship shall be marked completed and the same shall be communicated to the candidate and their institute.
Executing
- During the Execution phase the candidate will work on the company’s propritery IP.
- The intern shall be eligible for either a task based or a monthly stipend.
- The stipend amount paid will be equivalent to the renumeration paid to a junior engineer for similar task.
